Dr. John Whittington, DO

Dr. John C. Whittington, DO, first followed his love of medicine to pharmacy school where he graduated from The Ohio State University in 1978 as a registered pharmacist. After being an active pharmacist for 5 years, he was encouraged by a local mentor to practice medicine in a primary care setting. Dr. Whittington graduated summa cum laude in 1987 from Ohio University, where he was awarded his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. 

Through the years, Dr. Whittington has enjoyed serving his community in several different settings, such as: primary care, pain management, MAT, and more. Dr. Whittington has additionally served the citizens of Ohio as a compliance specialist and Assistant Executive Director of the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy. In his free time you’ll find him near water, either on a boat or scuba diving. He is such an enthusiast that he and his wife were married underwater!
